Statement:
No such thing as self-expression in that you can't tell someone I'm a sensitive person and make that statement anything more than glib. I have to have a person to whom I'm being sensitive and that person has to allow me to be sensitive. It's a two way street. The relationship of expression.
Biography:
Tracey Ziegler work intertwines her realistic view of the world with a certain flare that often comes across as “American Gothic with humorr”. The forms she incorporates into her work, landscapes, animals, water and structures often seem dark and bleak to the casual viewer but upon closer inspection offer a world of color, depth and personality that shines through even the darkest palette. The artist shows at Chase Gallery in Boston and March, Rosenfeld in Philadelphia.
