According to Peter Doig, this etching came about whilst working with Fritze Margull in Doig's studio in Port of Spain. Etching #6, Boathouse is also based on an Indian postcard purchased by the artist in London. This color aquatint with etching work is sold unframed. Provenance: Phillips de Pury & Co. auction in 2008. It is signed and dated by the artist and was published by Griffelkunst, Hamburg. The edition size is unknown, but exclusive members' editions produced by this distinguished art organization are traditionally unnumbered, but unlikely to have totaled any more than 150.
